Installation
This guide explains how to install and activate Oleva Admin Cleaner (OAC) on your WordPress website.
Before installing AUC, make sure your website meets the system requirements.
Before You Begin
Before installing the plugin, we recommend:
- Making sure you have administrator access to WordPress.
- Creating a recent backup of your website.
- Confirming that your WordPress and PHP versions meet the AUC requirements.
- Downloading the latest Oleva Admin Cleaner plugin ZIP file.
You do not need to extract the plugin ZIP file before uploading it to WordPress.
Install Oleva Admin Cleaner
From your WordPress admin dashboard, go to:
Plugins → Add Plugin
Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.

Open Plugins → Add Plugin and select Upload Plugin.
Click Choose File and select the Oleva Admin Cleaner ZIP file from your computer.
Then click Install Now.
WordPress will upload and install the plugin automatically.
Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.
Open Oleva Admin Cleaner
After activation, open Oleva Admin Cleaner from the WordPress admin menu.
You will see the main AUC interface, where the available configuration sections are organized into separate tabs.

At this point, AUC is installed and ready to configure.
Existing Websites
AUC can be installed on an existing WordPress website. Installing and activating the plugin does not automatically hide menus, lock admin pages, or apply restrictions to your users.
Admin customizations are applied after you configure and save the relevant AUC settings.
This allows you to install the plugin first, review the available options, and prepare your configuration before applying it to other users.
Updating Oleva Admin Cleaner
When installing a newer version manually, always use the official Oleva Admin Cleaner package provided through an authorized distribution channel.
Before updating, we recommend creating a current backup of your website and AUC configuration.
Your existing AUC settings are designed to remain in place during normal plugin updates.
Do not uninstall the existing plugin unless the update instructions specifically require it, as uninstalling may be different from simply replacing or updating the plugin.
Uninstalling Oleva Admin Cleaner
You can deactivate Oleva Admin Cleaner from:
Plugins → Installed Plugins
Deactivating AUC stops its admin customizations from being applied, but does not necessarily remove its stored configuration.
If you intend to permanently remove AUC and its data, review the available reset or cleanup options before uninstalling the plugin.
Next Step
Once AUC is installed and activated, continue to the Quick Start guide.
The Quick Start guide will walk you through the recommended first configuration and help you safely apply AUC to your first audience.
